Apollo Group TV is the subscription: the live channels, sports and on-demand library you pay for. Apollo TV is the name of the Android app that Apollo TV Stream customers use to watch that subscription. The name "Apollo TV" is also used by other, unrelated apps and websites, which is why the two are easy to mix up.
The service and the app are two different things
Think of it like a streaming account and the app you watch it in. You need both: an active Apollo Group TV plan, and a player to sign in with.
- Apollo Group TV (the subscription): the channel lineup, on-demand titles and TV guide. You buy it as a 1, 3, 6 or 12-month plan and receive login details by email.
- Apollo TV (the app): a free Android player for Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV and Android phones. You install it with Downloader code 9837964 and sign in with your subscription details.
- Other IPTV players: the same login also works in compatible players such as TiviMate, IBO Player and Kodi, so the Apollo TV app is optional.
Why other apps are also called Apollo TV
"Apollo" is a popular name, and several unrelated apps, websites and TV products have used it over the years. Apollo TV Stream can only support the Apollo TV app we provide and the Apollo Group TV plans we sell. If you installed an "Apollo TV" app from somewhere else, it is not connected to your subscription here, and we cannot help with its content, account or safety.
How to make sure you have the right app
- Install it only through the Downloader code or link on our Apollo TV app page. Avoid APK files from forums, video comments or unknown websites.
- Check that the app asks you to sign in with the username and password from your Apollo Group TV activation email.
- If you are unsure, message support with a photo of the app's start screen and we will confirm it.
Apps installed outside an app store are not reviewed by Amazon or Google, so sticking to a known source matters. After installing, you can switch "Install unknown apps" back off for Downloader.
